Reflection Day 69

Today our teacher wasn't here so we had a free period.

Reflection Day 68

Today we worked on putting our presentations together. Because I had everything prepared, building the slide presentation was pretty simple. I also had an old presentation on mechanical engineering, the major I chose. I was able to merge the two presentations together while meeting the criteria.

Reflection Day 67

Today we worked on our college profile and education portion of the research assignment. I did research on Georgia Institute of Technology since it was a local university. The college also offered engineering majors. I'm not interested in attending that school, but I have attended their camps. I'm mainly looking at attending an HCBU rather than a PWI.

Reflection Day 66

I didn’t go to this class today.

Reflection Day 65

Today we started a project on careers. My class and I independently took a survey on skills that we enjoy doing. From the survey, a list of occupations was given for us to choose from. I chose Mechanical Engineer and Airline Pilot. After we answered questions from a paper for information on the occupation.

Reflection Day 64

Today, we didn't do anything in class. We had time to catch up on any assignments, but I used my time to take a nap.

Reflection Day 63

Today we continued to take the EOC. It was the 2nd and 3rd protions. These sections mainly consisted of multiple choice questions with free response questions scattered about. I say I did pretty well on the test.

Reflection Day 62

Today we took the EOC. It was energy draining. I had no breakfast because I was fasting. I also had very little sleep, but I managed to get through the test. The essay portion was fairly challenging, but I spent a fraction of the time writing an outline for the essay.

Reflection Day 61

Today we read a narritive to better prepare us for the EOC. The passage was about Susan B Anthony. She went to court to gain equal rights for women in the United States. She used the constitution to support her reason for having rights. After reading the passage we answerd some questions related to the passage.

Reflection Day 60

Today we continued working on the EOC practice. I was pretty tired due to the fact that I stayed until 1 am. We read a few articles. We then answered the questions attached to them. I learned that I should read more to increase my endurance. I noticed that I tend to zone out when I read. As a result, I do not understand the plot.

Reflection Day 59

Today we worked on the essay portion of the EOC. I wrote an argumentative essay on whether or not artifacts should be put in museums. I wanted to be neutral about it, but I was leaning towards artifacts being put in museums. They help people learn about one's history and culture. One can do this without having to pay hefty amounts of money on travelling to another country and learn about the culture and history.

Reflection Day 58

Today we went over the practice test for the EOC. We learned how to use the software and tools on the platform. The test had 4 multiple-choice questions and a few essay/open-response questions. The test seems pretty straightforward. As long as I understand the readings, I should be fine. Finally, we worked on another practice test, which focused on the multiple-choice portion.

Reflection Day 57

I was not at school today. I was attending a spiritual awakening.
